Dear friends,

I would like to know the date of Andrzej Magrowski´s death. It is on line # 6. It was recorded on September 17, so it must be some days before, but I can´t find any date which looks even similar to "wcrorajnego".

As for Kazimierz Magrowski´s death certificate, I would like to know how old he was. The information is on line # 10, before "majacy". What word is that?.

Thank you.
Gilberto

Dear friends,

I would appreciate your help about some points in these death certificates:

rec# 100
line # 8: after "Katarzyna z Magrowska" is it written "wdowa po Wojciech" or "rodzina Wojcieski"? And what is the word after "Wojc.."?
line # 9: how old was Katarzyna? Seventy or more than seventy?
line # 10: were her parents Jozef and Katarzyna Wozniak?
line # 10: what do you read as her birthplace? G??l?wic?

rec# 80
line # 7: how old was Andrzej? "dni cztery majacy" means he only lived four days?

rec# 62
line #5: how old was Antoni? I have never seen "pudkora roku majacy" in any record.

Thanks.
Gilberto

Hello,

The word I am looking to get spelled out is under 'sixth'. The last four letters are either 'lowe' or 'lawe'.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, all

The name in the red rectangle is a place of origin which I have not been able to find. I have my own interpretation of what´s written, but I wouldn´t like to influence anybody´s else eyes. This was taken from a Brazilian document. Since the surnames were mutilated (Kovalsky, Troianovsky) it is possible the same happend to the place of origin.

Thanks.

I would appreciate help with translating part of a phrase in this document.

In the beginning of line #18, one sees the phrase, "w Ja ozeminie z rodzona
i w Swiniarach"

I have interpreted Ja ozeminie this way because the first "a" has a tail
that appears to end the word as it does in other words throughout the
document.  The only other possibility would be Jagzeminie as a place name
but that "g" would not match the way others are written in the document.

Any confirmation as to whether this is a place name or two other words would
be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello!

I was given the URL to your website by Zlatica Beca on the Genforum/Poland message board. I have a marriage registration for my German grandparents, but the priest wrote it in Latin. I can read it well enough to know what it says, but my problem is with the names of the villages given as my Gr-grandparents home towns. The priest wrote them in Latin as well and I can't be sure what the original names are. I suspect they were in the vicinity of Danzig/Gdansk because I once saw some old family photos that had been taken at a studio in Danzig. I have a scan of the document I will attach, and hope that someone can give me suggestions as to the names of the villages.

Thank you sincerely for any help you can give me.

Please help me decipher a few words on the attached marriage record. It is from Koneck parish, 1855. It is the marriage record of Franciszek Dobrowolski and Nepomucina Szołczyńska.

The portions of the record that are giving me trouble are the line or two immediately following both the groom’s and the bride’s names. I believe the groom was a widow and the record talks about his first marriage. The bride has a sentence two lines after her name with four capitalized words that I assume is a place.

Here is my translation so far…

>>>

It happened in village of Koneck on day 28? Of July One thousand eight hundred fifty five. Year at hour…..
Knowingly we affirm in the presence of witnesses Macieja Bla….. Josefa Zmolinski….
On day today accomplished was religious marriage between Franciszek Dobrowolski, widow of deceased….Julianne Szalinski? …………….twenty-first year?.......(There is more info here that I don’t have figured out yet…)
Years thirty nine, born in village Koneck to Wojeich and Marianna Prudlichomski?, married couple Dobrowolski
And Nepomucina Szołczyński, maiden age twenty-nine?

(I’m not sure what this next part says…..There are four words that are capitalized two lines below her name??????? Is this a place???)

Koneck residing, born of Josier? And Barbara Trzpinuńow married couple Szołczyński.

Marriage was preceded by three announcements in Koneck parish…
