Hi Tad!
I am hoping some of the very talented people from Genforum’s Poland
Forum can help me read an address. What I can read is “Brooklyn NY”
and the house number 1064, but what is the street name? I am not able
to find an avenue in Brooklyn beginning with “Kog…” so what else could
this be?
I’ve included a little bit extra of the handwriting because it may be
useful: “Grudnia 22, (19)28. Kochana Siostro” etc.
Best regards,
Sue

Thanks for the link to this site.
I am attaching immigration documents obtained from the National
Archives in Canberra. The information in these documents mainly
consists of application details from Rheda DP Camp of Tadeusz and
Stefania Myslinski to migrate to Australia in 1949. It's interesting
to note the different ways the places of birth have been recorded and
spelt. I cannot find these places on the Internet so it makes it very
difficult to start searching for birth and marriage details. I have
been told that some places in Poland during WWII were renamed by the
Germans - so that would make it even more difficult. Any guidance
would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Dani Myslinski

Dear Tadeusz,
Thank you again for replying to my
posting on the genealogy forum. I have attached a copy of my
great-grandfather's baptisim record and also a word document (translated
into English) of the marriage of Jozef Augustowski and Marianna
Sierpinska. There is also another son noted which I can't find any
record of and think he may have died before the family came to England.
We know that both Jozef and Marianna were converted Jews. Any help or
advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for
taking the time to read these documents.
Best wishes,

This is the Latin baptism record of my great grandmother's sister
Stefania Piwowar Nasidka. Is there any information that can be
translated from it?
Thanks,
